    Weather radio service in Birmingham may be disrupted for some users through May 3 due to the use of a temporary antenna. According to the Birmingham National Weather Service, the temporary antenna is closer to the ground and operating at lower power than the permanent transmitter would, which means that reception will likely be reduced.     Work continues to improve a main transportation artery through Birmingham. The Alabama Department of Transportation began work earlier in April 2014 on a stretch of Interstate 20/59 from Red Mountain Expressway to north of the Interstate 20 and Interstate 59 split.     Ateam of UA students from the College of Communication and Information Sciences is working to re-brand the Alberta City community. After the April 27th tornado, Alberta was left destroyed. This spring, Tuscaloosa Parks and Recreation Authority will break ground on the new tennis complex that will have numerous courts and host tournaments from around the country.
