The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says a St. Lucie County man was caught with nearly 300 stolen sea turtle eggs.The FWC says they received a tip the man was on Diamond Sands beach taking the eggs. Officers responded to discover a disturbed sea turtle nest and 55-year-old James Odel McGriff of Riviera Beach to have a total of 299 eggs in his backpack. 'Missing' NC woman and husband now in custody facing charges

Amy Arrington, the woman who supposedly went " missing" in the ocean Saturday, July 5, is now in custody. Pat Dowling, spokesperson for North Myrtle Beach, said she turned herself into authorities in Charlotte. First responders in North Myrtle Beach spent hours searching for Arrington, 42, from Gastonia, North Carolina, after her husband Paul, told police she went in the water in the area of 24th Avenue North and North Ocean Boulevard, and didn't resurface. NEW BERN, N.C. - A New Bern woman pleaded guilty for a DWI crash that killed her 6-year-old daughter. Amber Sandvig made the plea in court Monday afternoon. Her 6-year-old daughter, Alanna, died last year when Sandvig was high on drugs and crashed her car with her two children in the backseat.Her two-year-old son, Blaze, was seriously injured.
