Cooler northeast breezes will hold high temperatures to near 71 Tuesday despite bright skies (sun and cloud mix). Tonight will feature chilly lows near 48 inland. Expect mixed sun and clouds again Wednesday with highs near 76.
A storm system - currently organizing in the Lower Mississippi Valley - will bring clouds and a chance for showers to Eastern North Carolina Thursday and Friday.
In the southern Gulf of Mexico, tiny Tropical Storm Marco (with tropical storm force winds extending only about a dozen miles from its center) is on track to make landfall in Mexico today. No tropical storms exist elsewhere in the Atlantic Basin.
