Havelock Police have made an arrest in a homicide that occurred Sunday.
22 year old Desmond Johnson, Jr. is charged with murder and is currently being held in the Craven County Jail. He’s under no bond.
Authorities tell Nine On Your Side that preliminary investigation into the incident indicate a domestic confrontation led to the death of 30 year old April Renee Torres of Havelock.
Havelock Police found her lying in her garage suffering from apparent head trauma. She was airlifted by East Care to PCMH where she was pronounced dead.
