GUC reports power outages caused by wind and trees on power lines.
“Everything was quiet until after 7 a.m. when the first calls started coming in,” said Roger Jones, Director of Electric Systems
60 GUC employees responded to several problems in Greenville and Winterville between 7:45 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.
The problems ranged from down power lines and substations.
“At the height of outage activity, a total of about 12,000 customers were without power from 30 minutes to an hour,” said Jones
