Several important state audits are out and for one non-profit the money is still on hold.
A review of Options to Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault found deficiencies in internal controls over the use of grant money and other problems. The auditor’s office says none of the problems break state law. You may remember we told you the state has been withholding more than $170,000.00 in grant money from Options pending the auditor’s report.

In the review, Options responds that current management has done nothing wrong and cites their findings. The Department of Administration says it will meet with Options next week to discuss it. Also, the Governor’s Crime Commission says Options owes them $52,000.00. No word yet on when the GCC will meet Options about those funds.
