The Salvation Army is helping some of our Camp Lejeune marines who are deployed in Iraq and this time it’s not your average care package! A marine emailed the Jacksonville Salvation Army saying they desperately needed softball equipment so they could have something to do in their spare time. So, volunteers raised hundreds of dollars and purchased bats, balls, gloves, and even more than the marines were expecting! After boxing-up all the goodies they plan to ship it off to Iraq!
