Former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge thinks Senator John McCain is ready to work with the President-Elect.

Ridge says McCain is an honorable man and points to his concession speech where he referred to Obama as “his president.“

“He set the kind of respective tone, a tone in his own way, calling for a bipartisanship approach to solve some of this country’s problems.  We may have lost this election, our responsibility as the republican party, once we get done with this nitpicking internally is to look to the future and not to the past,“ said Tom Ridge.

Ridge was one of the names that came up as a potential running mate for McCain before going with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
