Troops in Fayetteville got a belly full of southern hospitality Tuesday when celebrity chef Paula Deen paid a visit to Fort Bragg.
She didn’t cook for the group of military men and women but she did tell some funny stories about her husband who also took the stage.
Deen also answered questions from audience members.
She said Tuesday’s stop at Fort Bragg was the most meaningful event in her entire 18-show national tour.
Six hundred families also received free hams and turkeys for the holidays, thanks to Deen and Smithfield.
