GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) - Drivers who have a pile of parking tickets in their vehicles can relax in one North Carolina city, but only this month.
Officials in Greensboro have declared amnesty from parking ticket late fees for December.
The News & Record of Greensboro reported Monday that the city expects it will get more than $2 million in revenue from unpaid parking ticket fines because of the program.
Come January, the city will start towing cars with three or more unpaid tickets. Drivers are encouraged to call the city to find out what they owe.
