Von Gaskin - Weekend Edition Meteorologist

Von joined Storm team 9 in August of 2008 as the weekend Meteorologist. She comes to Eastern North Carolina from South Carolina.

Von graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications and shortly after she moved to Starkville, MS and obtained a M.S. in Geosciences/Broadcast Meteorology. Her weather career began in 2004 at WPDE in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was also a freelance meteorologist at WWAY in Wilmington, NC.

Von is very excited about being in Eastern North Carolina and when she is not working she enjoys shopping, fine dining, going to church and spending time with her husband and son.
