WNCT Staff - FARMVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) - A Rocky Mount woman is facing felony charges connected to this weekend's fatal hit and run case.
That's according to North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said Tuesday morning that they arrested 24-year-old Ashley Dawn Hardison overnight on Tuesday in Greene County, charging her with Felony Hit and Run. They added that Hardison was driving a F-150 truck when she hit and killed Barbara Lindsey early Sunday morning. Troopers said Hardison left the scene.
They're continuing their investigation examining the truck, adding that it has damage to the front passenger window and door.
Hardison is booked at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $26,000 bond. She's expected to appear in court on May 11.Previous Story on 4/25/16:
According to First Sergeant Williams, officials have identified a person of interest in the Farmville pedestrian accident Sunday.
Along with the person of interest, investigators also located the vehicle they believe is involved in the incident.

A woman is dead after a pedestrian accident in Pitt County.
It happened early Sunday morning on US 258 near Farmville.
Authorities say Barbara Lindsey was hit and killed. It appears she was in the roadway wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident.
Highway Patrol is still investigating but believe they found the suspect vehicle involved in the incident.
