Man arrested on several drug charges after traffic stop in Goldsboro

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WNCT) - A man has been arrested on several drug charges after officers conducted a traffic stop in the southern portion of Goldsboro.

Dominique Brown, of Goldsboro, was charged with two counts of trafficking heroin and possession of marijuana.

On Tuesday around 4:00 p.m., the Goldsboro Police Department Gang Suppression Unit were patrolling the southern portion of Goldsboro.

Officers saw a black two-door Mercedes Benz with dark tinted windows heading south on Slocumb Street.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Brown, who was with one other passenger.

The K-9 responded and conducted a search on the vehicle.

Officers said K-9 Elvis gave a positive alert to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.

Officers continued searching the vehicle and said they found 10.2 grams of heroin and 18.5 grams of marijuana.

The Goldsboro Police Department Selective Enforcement Unit along with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team assisted the case.

Brown was sent to the Wayne County Magistrate’s Office and was given a $750,000.00 bond.
