Spot Jupiter next to the moon!

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) - Tonight, July 1, 2017, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of Jupiter next to the moon!

Look to the southwestern sky after sunset and Jupiter will be the bright object to the bottom right. You may also be able to spot another star to the bottom left of the moon. This would be the star Spica.

As the moon continues to pass east through the night sky to start the month of July, it will get closer and closer to Saturn.

Now, let's just hope that the weather cooperates enough for us to see it!
