Greenville man arrested on attempted murder charges, deputies say

BETHEL, N.C. (WNCT) - A Greenville man has been arrested on attempted murder charges after a shooting in Night Train Club Sunday overnight, deputies said.

Nehemiah C. Austin, 21, of Greenville, was charged with first-degree attempted murder.

The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and found one person shot.

The victim was identified as Trabian T. Moore, 33, of Greenville, and was taken to the Vidant Medical Center.

Deputies said Moore was in surgery and in serious condition.

Austin was arrested for driving while license revoked earlier by the Greenville Police Department.

Police said they located Austin in the Pitt County Detention Center.

Authorities are still investigating the case and said the motive for the shooting is unclear.

Austin is still in the Pitt County Detention Center and was given a $1.5 million bond.
