Cliff Pyron

Cliff Pyron joined the WNCT Sports Team in August of 2012 as a Weekend Sports Anchor.

A native of Charlotte, Cliff came to Greenville after nearly a year and a half as a reporter at WWAY in Wilmington, North Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with a minor in history from UNCW. Before his work with WWAY, Cliff was a photojournalist at WCSC in Charleston, South Carolina. With multiple television internships while in college perhaps his most exciting was with CBS Sports following the PGA Tour as Production Support.

Accused by some as being a sports fanatic, Cliff can often be found watching the biggest sporting events on television. Moving all around throughout his life (Illinois, New Jersey, Hong Kong, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia) his favorite teams are as sporadic as the places he has lived. They include the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Orioles and Charlotte Bobcats. The ECU Pirates may soon join that mix!

When he's not anchoring or watching sports, Cliff can probably be found at the beach! Cliff is excited to be in Greenville and looks forward to continue growing professionally. If you have any good story ideas shoot him an email at cpyron@wnct.com.
