Enjoy pleasant weather into Wednesday

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Hello! I'm WNCT 9 First Alert Meteorologist David Sawyer with your forecast for eastern North Carolina.

TONIGHT:  Cooler Canadian air, along with clear skies, will make for beautiful sleeping weather. Expect overnight lows in the lower 60s inland and upper 60s to near 70 for the coast.  Enjoy!

WEDNESDAY: Skies will remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy with afternoon highs in the middle 80s.  Winds will be light and variable.  A stray shower may pop up during the afternoon.  However, rain chances will remain minimal.

TROPICS: A tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic Ocean has a medium to high chance for development over the next few days. It has a 70 percent chance of development within the next 48 hours. We are keeping a close eye on this system as the dry air begins to moisten and the environment becomes a little more favorable for this to become our next tropical system to track.

A LOOK AHEAD:  Dry air will keep rain chances minimal for the majority of the work week.  However, another batch of showers and storms my affect your upcoming weekend plans.  For more weather details, check out your WNCT 9 First Alert Weather's Extended Forecast by CLICKING HERE.
