Families across eastern North Carolina will have a chance to tour our state's first capitol for free!
Tryon Palace in New Bern is opening its doors Saturday for its annual "Free Day"
The event runs from 9 o'clock in the morning to 5 in the evening.
You can tour the governor's palace, learn about cooking in the 1770's, and mingle with the actors who bring history to life.
"Free Day" is covered with grant money from the Harold H. Bate foundation.
