Filming of "Iron Man 3" continued Wednesday for a third day in Cary, with actress Gwyneth Paltrow on the set after she tweeted that she was in Raleigh Tuesday.
Paltrow, on her Twitter feed, said she was glad to be on the set for the first time for "Iron Man 3." She also sent out a photo.
On Wednesday, there was a sign at SAS that read, "Film Crew Left Lane" and orange cones blocking the entrance. Susan Moran with the Town of Cary said parts of Weston Parkway were closed for filming.

A source told NBC-17 on the condition of anonymity that there will be a closed shoot Wednesday at Building C on the SAS campus off Harrison Avenue. SAS spokesman Trent Smith, however, said he could not comment on whether "Iron Man 3" would be filmed at SAS.
Around 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday, actress Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted that she had "Just arrived in Raleigh, N.C. to start Ironman [sic] 3!" Along with the statement, she asked for restaurant recommendations in the City of Oaks.
Paltrow plays Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's (Iron Man) assistant and love interest. Wednesday morning she Tweeted a photo of herself in costume with the comment, "Day 1 on IM3. Pepper Potts! So happy to be here."
While star Robert Downey Jr. remains elusive, Don Cheadle was spotted on the set Tuesday.
Cheadle, who plays U.S. Air Force pilot James "Rhodey" Rhodes (a.k.a. War Machine), was seen grabbing lunch Tuesday outside Epic Games studio off Crossroads Blvd. in Cary.
NBC-17 anchor Penn Holderness says he saw actor Guy Pearce at the Umstead Hotel & Spa. Pearce will reportedly portray geneticist Aldrich Killian, the co-creator of Extremis, which -- in the comics -- sells a nanotechnological drug created by the U.S. military.
Tuesday was the second day crews were at the Epic Games in Cary. As with Monday's shoot, a tree resembling a Christmas Tree was seen on set, perhaps hinting that the film will take place during the holiday season.
Fans parading outside the studio also caught a glimpse of a possibly spoiler-ish sign, indicating Epic may be used as the backdrop for Advanced Idea Mechanics. The company is a fictionalized terrorist organization in the Marvel universe.
Before Wednesday, Cary Police said drivers should expect police-controlled delays on Weston Parkway from NC 54/Chapel Hill Road to Harrison Avenue between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
While they do not say the closures are specifically related to the "Iron Man 3" shoot, the police department says the closures are to "accommodate activity registered with the North Carolina Division of Tourism, Film, and Sports Development."
Production is mainly taking place in and around Wilmington. Principle photography on the film began in late May with a shoot at Cape Fear Club on Chestnut Street in Wilmington, N.C. The shoot called for two cast members and 20 extras.
In April, thousands of people turned out at Crabtree Valley Mall to sign on to be extras in the film "Caged Heat" -- a working title for the "Iron Man 3" production.
That "Iron Man 3" will shoot under the working title "Caged Heat" may be meaningless – much like Michael Bay's "Prime Directive" title for the "Transformers" trilogy – but that hasn't stopped comic book fans from speculating. Many have been quick to point to the title’s similarity to Marvel superhero Luke Cage and the fact that the latest "Iron Man" film may be used as a vehicle to launch a Luke Cage spin-off.
Shane Black will take over directorial duties from Jon Favreau, who helmed the first two "Iron Man" films. Black's credits include 2005's "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang," which also starred Robert Downey Jr.
"Iron Man 3" stars Downey Jr., Paltrow and Cheadle. Sir Ben Kingsley is also reportedly in talks to play a villain in the film, however he "will not be the primary villain, according to insiders, and it is not clear what role he will play."
James Badge Dale and Pearce have also been in talks to join the production, though it is unclear what roles they would play.
The film is set for release May 3, 2013.
