Canada is one of many countries that will be on display this weekend at the International Festival.
Janice Mrkonjic is a Canadian native and has some interesting facts that she wants you to know about her homeland.
“I’d like people to know we’re very friendly, innovative and the second largest country in the world,” said Mrkonjic.
Mrkonjic, is originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia and has lived in the U.S. for 11 years. She will be at the Canada booth with 26 amazing pictures that define moments about Canada’s history and people. This is the first time this travelling exhibit, supported by Canadian history, is being shown in the U.S.
Also at the booth, you’ll be able to write your Canadian moment in history on a maple leaf which will then hang from a tree at the booth.
The International Festival runs from Friday through Sunday at the Raleigh Convention Center.
