GREENVILLE, N.C. - So, let's make a long story short…my son was attacked by a prickly bush, had nearly 100 sharp needles jammed into his tiny baby foot for hours and I DID NOTHING!!!
After a day trip to the beach, I noticed Nico was walking a little funny in the house…he was walking on the outside of his foot. I don't know whether I was tired or what, but apparently that didn't alarm me.
The poor kid wouldn't eat…wouldn't drink…wouldn't sleep. What he would do was scream! After nearly an hour of trying every "mom" trick in the book I finally realized what was bothering him…HIS FOOT!!!
Don't ask me where or how it happened. All I know is it was 4 in the morning and I was in the bathtub in my bathing suit with Nico on my lap as my husband strategically used tweezers to pull each needle out…one by one.
As soon as the last needle was out, a smile returned to my sweet boy's face…and he had the last word. He peed on me in the bathtub. Touché baby touché…mommy deserved that one.
