Two teens charged with murder in the small town of Whitakers will have their first court appearance.
Police arrested 17-year-old Jacob Whitfield Saturday night after he allegedly shot and killed his father and stepmother.
Monday afternoon, police made another arrest, Whitfield's friend, 17-year-old Joshua Powers.
Police say what makes the case so unusual was how calm both men were during their arrests, as if they wanted to be caught.
"In my years of service I've never seen anyone in that state of mind being calm like that for those charges that was pending," said Chief Chris Wagstaff, Whitakers Police Dept.
The autopsy for both Charisma and Brian Whitfield are expected to be finished Tuesday.
