Until our economy gets back to where it needs to be, there's going to be a lot of talk about unemployment numbers.
And the good news Thursday, the number of new applications for unemployment benefits dropped.
The Labor Department reports, last week about 366,000 people filed for first-time jobless claims.
And that's 5,000 less people than the week before.
The Associated Press says this indicates companies are hiring at a modest but steady pace.
