East Carteret hit the road tonight to take on SW Onslow in a battle for first in the 1-A Coastal Plains league. The visitors fought back to win 66 to 53.
In other Friday Night Hoops action North Pitt and Farmville Central were stuck in a back and forth game up in Farmville. The Jaguars won 63-57 to claim second place in the 2-A Eastern Plains Conference (behind Kinston).
In the Mideastern Conference the Rose Rampants hosted Hoggard on senior night at the Rose Garden. The hosts had the lead early but the Vikings battled back to win in overtime 66-59. New Bern also fell on the road at Ashley, 58-50.
Southside was also a winner this Friday night as they sneaked by Southcreek 43-42.
