Was the HMS Bounty rotting away before it sank in Hurricane Sandy?
A shipyard official says so.
Todd Kosakowski told federal investigators the HMS Bounty was rotting when he worked to repair the ship.
Crews replaced several planks before its last trip to Florida.
He says he told the captain about the rot, but the captain chose not to fix it because of time and money.
The Bounty sank 90 miles off Cape Hatteras during Hurricane Sandy.
A crew member died and rescue crews never found the captain.
