People are giving thanks for surviving a Sunday tornado.
More than a dozen people were injured when the storm barreled through Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the city that's home to the University of Southern Mississippi. Several campus structures were hit.
Numerous homes and nearby public buildings were damaged.
Oak Grove High School also took a blow from the storm. That's where former NFL quarterback Brett Farve coaches football.
EMS teams spent the day assessing damage in several counties.
