
A former active duty army staff sergeant is now the proud recipient of the nation's highest military decoration.
Clint Romesha received the Medal of Honor yesterday for his courageous leadership during a long firefight in Afghanistan in 2009. That battle lasted twelve hours and killed eight Americans.
300 Taliban fighters attacked an American outpost, and despite being injured from a rocket-propelled grenade, Romesha led the effort to save that outpost.
