42 year old Dawn Kavenaugh is accused of killing Ronald Ketchum in Mooresville, North Carolina.
Kavenaugh, a 6th grade social studies teacher, won the teacher of the year award at her school last year. She appeared before a judge yesterday and is on paid leave.
