
State lawmakers are lashing out against the federal health care overhaul.
"We've gotta decide whether to expand Medicaid," said Pat McCrory before making a call on how North Carolina would handle Obamacare. "And I have to make sure we make the right decision."
Today, that decision is that the state should not have to cover half-a-million-uninsured people.
He says federal officials haven't given enough information about the long-term costs of the new health care plan.
Ultimately, he says North Carolina is not ready to expand the Medicaid system.
He suggested the state will participate in a federal exchange program to cover the uninsured.
