GREENVILLE, N.C. -

The college baseball season opens tomorrow at East Carolina.

The Pirates play host to the University of Virginia. This same Cavalier program ended the Pirate's postseason run after the 2011 season.

East Carolina wrapped up their final practice late Thursday afternoon. Jeff Hoffman will get the star for ECU against the Cavaliers in the first game of the three game series.

"We are looking forward to getting started," said Pirate Coach Billy Godwin. "I just told these guys that I know how hard they have worked for the past 8 months. This is what all of that hard work goes toward."

Game one of the series is set for Friday at 3pm. Game two is on Saturday at 2 o'clock while the series finale is set for Sunday at 1pm.
