GREENVILLE, N.C. -
Police had to call in their K9 unit to track down a fugitive in the east. Greenville police say 21-year-old Kareem Gibbs ran away from officers after they were called to the King's Convenient Mart on West 5th street just after 9 p.m. Thursday. An officer and his police dog were able to track him down. They say he had 23 doses of crack cocaine, some counterfeit bills, and stolen 38-caliber revolver. Officers also found Gibbs is wanted in New Jersey for several offenses, including probation violation. He's in jail without bond for extradition to New Jersey.
