Power Back On After Tree Falls At Electricity Station

Posted: Updated:

Power is back on for thousands of people in Pamlico and Craven counties. About 6,000 customers lost electricity shortly before 11a.m. Sunday. That's when a tree fell at the Tideland EMC Silverhill substation. It knocked out two circuits. EMC spokesperson, Heidi Smith, tells us power was restored to everyone around 3:15 p.m.
