An Onslow County Sheriff's deputy has minor injuries after an accident early Sunday morning.
Highway Patrol troopers tell 9 On Your Side that Deputy Zaire Duckett was traveling westbound on NC 24 when he went off the right side of the road, hitting a metal fence and parked vehicle.
We're told Deputy Duckett was distracted at the time of the accident.
Damage from the accident is estimated at around $5,000.
