--- Original Story ---
Five people are in the hospital after an early morning rollover accident in On slow County.
It happened in the Rock Creek subdivision, Off Gum Branch Road, around 1:45 Monday morning.
Trooper Matzos with the Highway Patrol tell us 21-year-old Tod Arnold was driving behind the wheel of the Ford Mustang. Four teenagers between the ages of 16 and 19 were also in the car. Trooper Matzos says everyone in that car appeared to have been drinking.
We're told Arnold took a curve too fast. The vehicle went off the road to the left, then Arnold overcorrected, sending the car into a brick culvert on the right side of the road. The Mustang flipped in front of a home on Daisy Court.
The driver, Tod Arnold, was pinned in the car and had to be cut out.
Two passengers were transported by air to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. One person was taken by air to Evident Medical Center in Greenville. The remaining two passengers were treated at On slow Memorial Hospital. Their conditions are unknown this morning.
Charges are pending in this case. We'll keep you updated as we continue to gather the facts.
