A second suspect arrested in connection to a trooper shooting in Durham is due in court Thursday.
Police arrested 21-year-old Lyndsey Smith Wednesday. Smith is the pregnant girlfriend of Mikel Brady, the man investigators say shot trooper Michael Potts Monday night.
Brady is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. His girlfriend is charged with accessory after the fact.
Brady is a wanted fugitive in Vermont. He escaped a furlough program there. Investigators say they had been searching for him for months.
Mikel Brady's bail is set at $8-million.
Trooper Potts is at Duke University Hospital in fair condition.
