GREENVILLE, N.C. -
A former Greenville resident is back in town, charged for multiple offenses of rape and sexual assault.
Greenville Police say 41-year-old Franklin D. Ward was located and arrested in Atlanta. He was brought back to Greenville on Wednesday.
Detectives say he committed multiple offenses of rape and sexual assault against a female acquaintance between January 2010 and December 2011.
The name of the victim is being withheld.
Ward is charged with 2 counts of Second Degree Rape
and 1 count of Second Degree Sexual Offense. He's in the Pitt
County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.
The investigation is still underway and additional arrests
are possible.
