PeeDee is home tonight, after going missing 10 and a half years ago.
Steve Evans is a pirate supporter and displayed his fiberglass PeeDee statue on the balcony of his Evans Street office building.
In July of 2002, thieves climbed up the front porch and stole it.
He filed a police report and figured he had seen PeeDee for the last time.
But more than a decade later, police found a PeeDee along the 14 Street railroad tracks and traced it back to him, returning it Wednesday.
"I was really shocked they were able to find him and I was really impressed by the police department to have an ongoing investigation for this time period," Steve Evans, PeeDee owner.
Evans say the $1,500 statue needs a few hundred dollars in repairs.
He hopes to return PeeDee to his perch in the near future.
