Man arrested for selling drugs near Greenville school

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Greenville Police arrested a man on several drug charges near an elementary school Thursday night.

We're told 20-year-old Rontrell Hooks is a well-known repeat offender.

During a search officers say they found 31 bundles of heroin and 3.25 grams of cocaine on his person all packaged for sale.

Hooks is facing several charges including possession with intent to sell a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. This all happened at a mini-mart near South Greenville Elementary.

Hooks is in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond.
