WASHINGTON -
Smithfield
Packing Co. has issued a recall for some of their pork sausage. After two
complaints from consumers, Smithfield recalled 38,000 pounds of the Gwaltney
Mild Pork Sausage. It was reported that the sausage contains small pieces of
plastic from the gloves worn by the employees.
The
recalled sausage was produced on January 11th and distributed to Alabama,
District of Columbia, Floria, Georgia, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, North
Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Texas. As of now, there have
not been any injuries reported.
