Suspect charged in Goldsboro supermarket shooting

GOLDSBORO, N.C. -

Goldsboro Police have made an arrest in a shooting at a grocery store.

It happened at Bob's Supermarket on Slocumb Street just before 8 p.m. Monday.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, 24-year-old Demetrius Tyshad Lewis. Lewis had a gunshot wound and was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital.

27-year-old Shaquan Davis is charged with AWDWIKISI, 4 counts of Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Conveyance in Operation and Discharging a Firearm into Occupied Property Causing Serious Bodily Injury, all of which are felonies. He was also charged with four misdemeanor charges for Breaking & Entering, Assault on a Female, 2nd Degree Trespass, and Simple Possession of Marijuana.

He's in the Wayne County Jail under a $303,000 secured bond.
