
Contractors in the east could feel the brunt of sequestration cuts.
Tuesday, the Naval Air Systems Command told 9 On Your Side it'll cut back on maintenance work at several bases, including the Fleet Readiness Center at Cherry Point.
The command says it'll cut 118 aircraft and engines for contractors to work on. Therefore, cutting their hours by more than 200,000.
There would also be a Navy-wide civilian hiring freeze.
