They help us out in our time of need and this weekend you can help support one of our local fire departments.
The Belvoir Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its 31st Annual Fireman's Auction Saturday and they're collecting items until Friday. Examples of items you'd find there are farm tractors, antique farm equipment, motor vehicles, lawnmowers and hardware.
The farm sale auction has been the major source of income to operate the department for the last 30 years.
Saturday's auction starts at 9 a.m. and cash and checks are accepted. For more information call 252-341-2259.
