Several area teams advanced into the third round of the state basketball playoffs on Wednesday night.
In Kinston, the Vikings got 20 points from Denzel Keyes and 18 from Josh Dawson in an 80-34 win over Northwood. Kinston will now play Northeastern on Friday night.
