
Greenville Fire and Rescue successfully pulled a man from the Tar River, but he remains hospitalized Saturday night. Witnesses saw the man in the water around 2:30 p.m. Emergency crews responded by putting a boat in the water to search. They found the man about 200 yards downstream. Crew members went into the 45-degree water to help him. We're told he was awake. The whole ordeal lasted about 28 minutes. It's not yet clear how the man ended up in the river.
