New DMV hours aim to improve service, reduce wait time

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, N.C. -

The often dreaded trip to the DMV just got a little more convenient.

Several DMV offices across the state opened with new hours this weekend.

The driver's license office on Memorial Drive in Greenville will now be open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until Noon.

Officials are hoping to improve customer service and reduce wait times.

You can receive regular license services and road tests with the exception of motorcycle and CDL tests or medical re-exams.

Also, starting today, the Greenville office will stay open until 6 p.m. on weekdays.

More offices across the state will begin expanded hours in April.
