WASHINGTON, N.C. -
A Beaufort County School Bus was involved in an accident with a car early Tuesday morning.
Sarah Hodges with Beaufort County Schools tells us bus #176 that runs to Bath Elementary wrecked around 7:30 a.m. It happened at the intersection of North Boyd and North White Post Rd.
There were no students on board at the time of the accident and no injuries were reported.
According to Highway Patrol, the bus pulled out in front of a car, hit it in the passenger side door.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to be fine.
The driver of the bus, 28-year-old Christina Ambrose of Pinetown, was charged with failure to yield and an unsafe movement violation.
