A new shirt puts a spin on the bitter rivalry between Duke and UNC.
Thrill City, an apparel label based in Chapel Hill, just released a new shirt just in time of the second match up between the rivals in blue.
The shirt has the slogan "We grew here, You flew here" with the state's North Carolina and New Jersey underneath.
Ryan Cocca, a senior at UNC, started Thrill City a couple years ago.
"I had seen 'I Grew Here You Flew Here' on a T-shirt before but not with any geographic reference, just with a picture of an airplane and a palm tree on it," Cocca said. He said he felt it could put a funny twist on the rivalry.
The first batch of 100 shirts will arrive tomorrow but has already sold out. Cocca said more will be available in the next few days due to the massive interest.
Thrill City posted an image of the shirt on Facebook Monday. It was shared over 500 times.
