Disney's new
adventure, "Oz The Great and Powerful" takes place long before
Dorothy followed the yellow brick road in her ruby slippers.
It tells the story of how a magician
from Kansas named Oscar Diggs became the Wizard of Oz.
James Franco had to learn magic to take
on the title role.
The story also features three witches.
Michelle Williams plays Glinda, the good witch, but she looks and sounds
different than the original Glinda.
Rachel Weisz plays the evil witch
Evanora.
Mila Kunis plays the young witch
Theodora.
Kunis says the sets amazed her. They
were built on seven different sound-stages at a studio outside Detroit. She
says director Sam Raimi, and his production team created a fantastic world.
There is no violence in the movie,
making "Oz The Great and Powerful" a story the whole family can
enjoy.
