(WBTW)- J.P. Morgan Chase is laying off about 550 people at its facility in Florence, according to Amy Bonitatibus, Spokesperson for the business.
Bonitatibus told News13 employees from the In service Default Department which deals mainly with home loans that are in default will be affected.
"Fewer homeowners are falling behind on their mortgages, so we need fewer employees to assist those who were struggling. We will work with impacted employees to find openings at other local companies, " said Bonitatibus.
The employees will be employed for 90 days after March 7, 2013.
In January, the same facility laid off 300 workers. CLICK HERE for that story.
