GOLDSBORO, N.C. -

Two men are behind bars, accused of trying to rob a pizza delivery driver.

It happened at the Papa John's Pizza on Royall Avenue in Goldsboro.

The driver told police that a group of people in a dark colored Toyota Highlander tried to rob him and then fled the area. Officers later found a vehicle matching that description at the Irish Inns Motel, where they initiated a traffic stop.

A brief investigation led to the arrest of 20-year-old Brandon Lee Cannon and 24-year-old Santonio Monquail James. They're both charged with Attempted Common Law Robbery.

They were placed in the Wayne County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
